Year 3 Ancient Egyptian workshop.

Children in year 3 had a wonderful experience learning all about the Ancient Egyptians.
Our Year 3 children took part in a wonderful interactive workshop all about Ancient Egypt.
They learned about the crucial role of the River Nile, discovering how it was essential to Egyptian life, providing water, transportation, and fertile land for agriculture. The students also had the chance to dress up as ancient Egyptians, which helped them better understand the culture and lifestyle of the time.
In addition to these activities, they were able to handle real-life ancient artefacts, giving them a hands-on experience of the past. The children also took part in a fun trade simulation, exchanging goods between Egypt and other countries, which highlighted the importance of trade and cultural exchange in ancient times.
A particularly exciting activity was learning how to write their names in hieroglyphics, using real papyrus, which allowed them to appreciate the complexity and beauty of this ancient form of writing. I
They had a brilliant day and learnt so much about the Ancient Egyptians. What a fantastic way to reinforce their current history topic.
