This year, we celebrated World Book Day with the theme 'Read Your Way', encouraging children to embrace reading in a way that makes them feel most comfortable. It was wonderful to see everyone expressing their individuality – whether dressed as their favourite book character, cosy in pyjamas, or showing off their passion for sport in their favourite football kit. The day highlighted that there’s no right or wrong way to enjoy a good book – what matters most is finding joy in reading.

Throughout the school, children took part in a variety of fun and engaging reading-based activities, from sharing stories with friends to creating artwork inspired by their favourite books.

The day ended with a special whole school assembly, where we shared our fantastic extreme reading pictures and each class had the chance to present their favourite book to the rest of the school. It was a brilliant way to come together and celebrate our love of reading!
