The children and staff have been working hard creating some wonderful artwork and poems to celebrate the Harvest Festival at Longton Central Hall Methodist Church.

We think you'll agree it's really important for our academy to be involved in helping and supporting the local community and the display looks great.

"Thank you so much for the wonderful artwork, poems and prayers you sent for us to use on Sunday. Everyone was thrilled to see the children's contributions, and we have left them up in chapel for people to see during the week. " Helen Lewis.

This week in assembly, children will be learning about Sukkot, the Jewish festival celebrating the harvest. This is a week-long festival that allows Jewish people to give thanks and celebrate the food they have and also reminds Jews of the 40 years they spent in the desert after they had escaped slavery.
