Safer internet Day

Today is Safer Internet Day!
Today is Safer Internet Day!
Safer Internet Day happens every year with the aim to raise awareness into the wonders and dangers of the online world and give pupils the tools to protect themselves while using the internet.
The theme for this year allows the community to focus on how children and young people can be supported to build healthy and respectful relationships online and ensure they know what to do if they encounter negative behaviour online.
As always, the team at Nation Online Safety have got a fantastic range of resources to help support with this. These resources have been created with experts to support school leaders, teachers, parents and pupils;
– Recognise hateful and harmful content online.
– Understand the impact of our behaviour online, as well as how our interactions with others can have a lasting effect.
– Know how to respond if another user’s behaviour is upsetting, hurtful or hateful.
– Communicate online with empathy and respect.
