Welcome Co-op Academy Clarice Cliff
Dear Parents and Carers,
I wanted to write to you and let you know what following the successful legal and transition works, the academy is now officially Co-op Academy Clarice Cliff.
Co-op Academy Clarice Cliff becomes our 26th school, alongside our other schools in Staffordshire, Greater Manchester, West Yorkshire and Merseyside. As a Trust, we’re fully committed to adding social value to the communities that we serve. Our ambition is to create communities of co-operators made up of children, staff, parents, carers and the wider community. We want all our academies to be very successful in every educational area so our students achieve the very best of outcomes – but also experience a range of activities to prepare them for future life and challenges. What is also very important is how we achieve that success guided by the strong Co-op values that we treasure and follow at all times.
I’ve managed to visit the school a number of times, even with current Covid restrictions, and it has a wonderful atmosphere and the students are positive to be there each day. Co-op Academy Clarice Cliff matches our values perfectly and the staff are really enthusiastic about working with everyone from Co-op Academies and the Co-op Group. We’re looking forward to working with everyone and are very excited for the academy to be part of Co-op Academies Trust. Joining the Trust we really believe we can take the academy to the next level of its journey making even more of a difference to its community.
I want to thank you for your patience during the conversion process and thank Mrs Broadhurst and her team for their support as we completed the necessary processes – as you can imagine a difficult and complex project.
I’m very excited to see the improvements that will come as a part of our Trust and I hope to have the opportunity to meet you all whenever we can all meet again.
A wonderful early Christmas present for us all.
All the best,
Dr Chris Tomlinson
