Stanley Head Payment Request | 05 October 2020

Dear Parent/ Carer,

Year 6 Residential – Stanley Head

As you may be aware, during Year 6, the children take part in a residential outdoor educational visit. Following previous successful visits to Stanley Head, we have been able to secure this location for 2021.

Stanley Head is owned and run by the City Council and has been providing outdoor education to schools for over 50 years.

The Centre itself is set in 30 acres, consisting of the buildings, extensive camping fields and some of the most rich and diverse woodland in Staffordshire filled with wildlife. On the edge of the Centre is Stanley Reservoir, an excellent natural resource that the Centre has unlimited access to and uses for a variety of activities and challenges.

The children who have gone to Stanley Head in the past have thoroughly enjoyed the experience and taken part in a variety of activities that they have never had the chance to do before. Some of the activities offered by Stanley Head are high ropes, bouldering, archery, climbing and canoeing. Please visit the Stanley Head website for more details (www.stanleyhead.org.uk).

We have booked this four night residential for Monday 21st – Friday 25th June 2021.

Further details of the trip, including a kit list, will be sent out to you closer to the time.

Payments

The cost of the visit is £200.00 which covers all activities lead by highly trained professionals, food, accommodation, transport and insurance.

To help parents and carers to manage this payment, this year we are introducing a payment plan which will be live from October until May. All instalments can be made online at www.parentpay.co.uk.

Instalments must be made in line with the following schedule, which we hope will help to break down the cost of this worthwhile trip. Please note that payments made are non-refundable (unless cancelled due to Covid-19) and if payments are not made, your child’s place will not be secured.

If we receive insufficient funds to cover the cost, unfortunately we may be forced to cancel the visit and all children will miss out on this wonderful opportunity which enriches the lives of all who attend.
