School Day and Gate Times | 07th September 2020

Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope that you are finding the new systems a little easier now that we are a few days in to the term. Thank you for your cooperation with everything. You have helped to make things work really smoothly!

As you know, we have been opening the KS2 gates a little earlier then we should just until parents and pupils have become used to the new systems. Now that this is getting easier and faster, we can plan to start opening the gates at the official time.

This will mean that pupils will not have to stand outside in bad weather for as long; 10 minutes outside in the cold and rain is long enough.

From Thursday 10th September, the KS2 gates will open at 8:50 and close at 9:00. Please don’t arrive earlier than 8:50 as you will have to stand out along the pavements unnecessarily. Ten minutes should be plenty of time to allow all KS2 pupils to walk through the gates now that they know where to go.

The other gates around school will open at 8:45 for KS1 pupils who must arrive no later than 9am. We ask that EYFS pupils arrive slightly later at 9am so that the playgrounds aren’t too crowded. The gates will close promptly at 9:10 for EYFS pupils and this gives everyone plenty of time to drop their children off.

New times from Thursday 10th September

KS2 Gates Open at 8:50 and close at 9:00

EYFS / KS1 Gates Gates Open at 8:45 and close at 9:10.

KS1 pupils – please arrive between 8:45 and 9:00am

EYFS pupils – please arrive between 9:00 and 9:10am

Nothing is changing in regard to the arrangements for collecting children at the end of the day. Thank you again for keeping to all of these new arrangements and procedures and respecting other people’s personal space on and around the school site.

Yours sincerely

Mrs D Broadhurst

Headteacher
