Letter for Parents of Y4 Kahlo class

Dear Parents and Carers.

As you may have realised, lovely Miss Roper will be finishing work for a little while to have her baby and enjoy some special time at home with her new baby. She will be starting her maternity leave at the end of the day on Friday 19th November so won’t be in school from Monday.

We have been lucky enough to have been able to appoint a new teacher, Mr McCormick, before Miss Roper finishes so that he could work alongside Miss Roper and get to know the class and routines before she finishes.

Mr McCormick has already begun to teach the class and is ready to take over from Monday. Some of you may have met him during our online parents’ evening or may have met him on the playground at the end of the day.

Mr McCormick is really looking forward to teaching your child and working alongside you over the coming months. Miss Thirlaway will still be working alongside him to help and support your child.

Please don’t be afraid to speak to Mr McCormick if you have any questions or wish to discuss your child’s education and well being during this time.

I’m sure we will all be wishing Miss Roper all the very best for the exciting times she has ahead and look forward to welcoming her new baby into the world very soon!

Yours sincerely,

Mrs D Broadhurst
Headteacher
