We are a recently built school in the Priory Fields area of Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent, which prides itself in creating a warm, happy, caring atmosphere where everyone is encouraged to achieve their full potential and develop a love of learning.
Working in partnership with our parents and families is a really important part of what we do here. We regularly invite parents and carers in to our school to take part in fun activities such as gardening, creative art, story writing, musical fun and First Aid. Our families tell us just how much they value opportunities to participate in these fantastic experiences with their children. We want to grow these experiences even more and would love to hear of any further ideas our families may have to be involved in our school
Our Early Years Foundation Department ensures that our children are given the best possible start to their education. Our governors are keen to involve children at the earliest opportunity and offer free full time places within our nursery class.
“Throughout early years there is a strong emphasis on developing children’s personal and social skills. Learning environments are safe and supportive and children are warmly welcomed into class. There are strong relationships between children and adults. Children are happy and enjoy school.” (Ofsted, January, 2019)
Recent playground improvements throughout the school help to ensure that children have productive and happy playtimes and are able to access outdoor areas for a variety of learning experiences. The Early Years outdoor area is particularly amazing with its beautiful artificial grass mounds and play tunnels, pirate ship, performance stage, sand and water soft play areas and mini-allotment. The children and staff love spending time outside and we see this as a valuable and special part of each day.
Whilst we aim for academic excellence, we also value excellence and achievement in a very wide range of experiences, including sport and the arts. We believe that success in areas such as sport and music play a large part in shaping pupils’ attitudes and personal spirit. We are therefore committed to ensuring that these broader aspects of children’s education are an intrinsic part of their education here at Clarice Cliff.
We are incredibly proud of our pupils and their positive attitudes and high standards of behaviour. Our most recent Ofsted Inspection found that,
“The behaviour of pupils is good. Pupils are open and welcoming and demonstrate good manners.”
At Clarice Cliff, we value the role that each and every child plays in their community. We aim to nurture our pupils to help them to become happy, confident, considerate and respectful young people.
If you are a prospective parent, you are welcome to arrange a visit to experience our lively, hardworking and caring school for yourself. We would be delighted to give you a guided tour of our beautiful school and wonderful outdoor learning environments.
If you are already a parent or carer at our school, I hope that you are able to find all of the information that you need on our website but if you need anything further, please just ask and we’ll do our best to help.
